Crafting Care: How Adam DuVall Blends Music, Art, and Compassion
When Alternative Senior Care, caregiver Adam DuVall, has spare time, he and his wife Jennifer have a passion for woodworking and wood burning art. Adam said he began with furniture, violins, and now guitars as well. He is self-taught and he said with the carving, burning, and poly process, one guitar can take him a week to complete. Recently, Adam had a client who loved music and played guitar. Adam made a guitar for him to “jam out” with. His client passed away and Adam brought this guitar for Alternative Senior Care clients to be able to hear music or play music. What beautiful craftsmanship! I asked him his favorite part and he said, “The artwork on the back that my wife Jennifer did. It turned out the best.” Adam is a blessing to his clients and co-workers. He thinks out of the box for ways to help others and connects so well with them.

Lainie recalled her favorite subject in school was Home Economics,
