Ensuring Our Caregivers and Equipped and Ready

We want every caregiver to be equipped and ready before meeting their first client. We are always modifying our onboarding training to be more robust and meet the needs of our current clients. Alternative Senior Care held an initial training on Wednesday for three new employees joining our team. Along with online training and job shadowing, each new employee spends the day with our office staff and has hands on practical training in an interactive workshop style class with Bethany Knutson, our Personal Assistant Coordinator. Topics include, caregiving tasks, professionalism, emergency preparedness, boundaries and much more. Each new hire can ask specific questions as well hands on help with client care and technology. We offer paid training up and above our licensing requirements. Ongoing training throughout the year is offered in specialties such as: Dementia, Mental Health Wellness, and Hospice Companionship.
