Alternative Senior Care tries to send the same people to your home depending on the number of hours needed for care. Our goal is to have consistency, so we will develop a set schedule. We personally match our clients and personal assistants based on client needs and personal assistant strengths.
If at any time clients are not satisfied, for any reason, we will immediately remove that personal assistant from service and send someone else.
At Alternative Senior Care, all personal assistants are our employees and are insured, which means we take out all necessary taxes and they are covered under our worker’s compensation. They are thoroughly screened, we check their references and complete a thorough background check. Alternative Senior Care personal assistants are uniquely qualified and professional because they undergo a thorough initial training with ongoing training throughout the year.
At Alternative Senior Care, we use a telephony system that alerts us if a personal assistant hasn’t shown up for a scheduled visit. We can quickly arrange to call your personal assistant or arrange for another person to cover the visit.
Alternative Senior Care prices are very competitive and are generally charged by the hour. We bill every 2 weeks. Prices vary depending on the type of care and the numbers of hours of service provided. We offer a free in-home assessment so give us a call! We’d be happy to speak with you.
Alternative Senior Care is not a franchise and is locally owned and family operated. The founder, Cindy Karasch, COTA, CSA, started this business in 2005 because she loves working with the elderly and wanted to provide them with the option of remaining in their own homes rather than going into a nursing home or assisted living facility.
Alternative Senior Care not only keeps in contact with the family via phone and email. Also, with our scheduling system we can offer you something other agencies can't - a direct connection to the care providers working with your loved one. Through our “Family Connect” you are able to see the monthly schedule, see the personal assistant currently on site and communicate with the office.
Someone from Alternative Senior Care is available 24 hours a day. If it’s after office hours, just call the main number and you will be prompted to the person on call.
